February 2026 marks a milestone for M3AAWG as our organizational refresh officially begins and a new era of leadership takes shape. To meet the demands of an evolving abuse landscape, our work is now guided by four core Priorities — the engine driving our collective impact:
- Communications & Content
- Platform & Infrastructure
- User & Endpoint
- Policy & Regulations
Newly formed Committees aligned to each Priority will advance strategy and guide the effective application of resources across the organization. In parallel, M3AAWG’s updated Special Interest Groups (SIGs) will continue to thrive as vibrant, member-driven forums for sharing operational experience, surfacing abuse signals and emerging threats, and fostering an inclusive and welcoming community.
Under this new structure, Priority Committees provide the foundation, while SIGs collaborate closely with them to support and advance organizational Initiatives. This creates shared responsibility, encourages broad participation, and helps every member understand where they fit and how they can contribute.
Initiatives are where ideas turn into action.
“This new structure helps us fight abuse at all levels while simplifying how new and emerging voices can join M3AAWG and immediately contribute their unique expertise and strengths,” said Sara Roper, Chair of the M3AAWG Board of Directors.
Stepping into this next chapter is a dynamic group of Priority Committee Chairs, Vice Chairs, and SIG Leaders ready to translate shared insight into collective action that drives real progress across the abuse ecosystem. Their leadership will help shape M3AAWG’s direction, strengthen collaboration across the organization, and drive impact in the months and years ahead.
Together, M3AAWG’s next era will be guided by a high-impact group of Priority Committee Chairs, Vice Chairs, and SIG Leaders:
“These structural updates are critical to addressing a threat landscape that seems to evolve by the day, and these leaders are trailblazing a new era that will best support ideation, execution, and a more inclusive environment. Words don’t do justice to how fortunate we are to have them step up for us,” said Amy Cadagin, M3AAWG Executive Director.
Continued Guidance from Outgoing Leadership Will Be Critical
M3AAWG expects the continued contributions of outgoing leadership to be critical in binding all these moving parts together.
“We extend our sincere gratitude to outgoing leadership, whose relationship capital, technical expertise, and institutional knowledge will continue to guide us forward. We deeply appreciate the time, dedication, and commitment they have invested to get us where we are, and we look forward to their continued contributions in sharing insights, mentoring colleagues, and helping drive this next era forward,” Amy added.
