Membership rights and privileges will commence in accordance with the M3AAWG Bylaws after the membership is accepted and payment is received, unless an exception is approved. New members will not be listed in the public M3AAWG member roster and cannot display a M3AAWG logo or make any statement of membership on their website or in other company materials, blogs or social media accounts for the first 12 months of their membership and can only do so after their membership is renewed for another 12 months. After the initial 12-month membership, companies that are renewed can request a M3AAWG logo for their website and can post on social media following the Messaging, Malware and Mobile Anti-Abuse Working Group Communications Policy provided in the Governance documents. Please note: M3AAWG works to develop technical and operations best practices to fight Internet abuse. We are not a deliverability or reputation forum. We do not lobby government bodies on regulations or legislation. Our membership acceptance criterion covers more than asking if a company is following the "rules" and staying out of trouble. The membership criteria states: "the Board will assess the applicant’s potential to contribute positively...." “Positively” in this context has many facets, including technical expertise in fighting abuse and public positions on fighting potential abuse.
