TRANSPORTATION

Getting in:

Amtrak - 30th St Station is a short cab ride from the hotel. (https://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=am/am2Station/Station_Page&code=PHL)

You can arrive within a short walk to the hotel via MFL (Market-Frankford Line) to City Hall, or Septa Regional Rail to Suburban Station. (http://www.septa.org/maps/transit/mfl.html)

Automobile - The hotel has parking, and is fairly easy to get to. http://www.sheratonphiladelphiadowntown.com/hotel-directions

  • Self-parking is $38 per day
  • Valet-parking is $44 per day and includes full in and out privileges

Airport - A taxi to Center City is a fixed $28 or so, plus tip.  Uber is not allowed to pick up at the airport. There is a Regional Rail option to Suburban Station for about $7 each way, and the hotel is a short walk from Suburban Station.

Getting around:

Walking - You can walk to most of the central portions of the city from the hotel within an hour.

Metro/Bus - Philadelphia has a reasonable mass transit system.  You can purchase a day pass for an individual or a family. SEPTA (http://www.septa.org/)

  • Race-Vine BSL (subway) station (N Broad St; 19107)
  • City Hall (subway) station is slightly further, but is the intersection of two major lines, BSL/MFL and is located at approximately Broad & Market

Bike Share - Indego is Philly’s bicycle sharing system and has reasonable bike rental rates (https://www.rideindego.com/stations/)

Taxis - Fairly reliable in Philadelphia, also 215getacab.com for an Uber-like app
