Fighting Telephony Abuse with Clustering
This VTA session is open to all members.
Speaker: Lukas Wellinger, Google
This session presents a high-level overview of different clustering approaches Google uses to fight telephony abuse, such as Domestic Traffic Pumping & International Revenue Share Fraud (IRSF). This includes:
Graph mining to identify clusters of abusive users with similar calling behaviour
Time series anomaly detection to detect spikes of abuse early
The session will provide generalized ideas of the objectives, what data can be used for modeling, and how to deal with challenges such as the absence of ground truth data
