M3AAWG meetings, which are open to members and the occasional vetted guest only, are multiple-track events held three times a year and generally attended by 300 to 500 participants. Leading industry experts, researchers and public policy officials address such diverse topics as bot mitigation practices, social networking abuse and pending legislation. Each three-day meeting is an exceptional opportunity to discuss the latest in messaging security with other professionals in a focused environment of working sessions and educational panels. M3AAWG reserves the right to refuse any meeting registration from a member or non-member at its discretion.

Cancellation and Refund Policy for 63rd General Meeting, February 2025

M3AAWG cancellation and refund policies are as follows:

  • Cancellations requested up to the closing of registration, February 12th at 5:00 p.m. Pacific, will receive a refund of 50% of the paid Registration Fee
  • Cancellations after February 12th at 5:00 p.m.Pacific forfeit a refund.
  • No shows forfeit a refund.
  • If circumstances arise outside of M3AAWG's control and M3AAWG has to cancel the in-person meeting and hold the 63rd General Meeting virtually, each registrant will receive a refund of their original Registration Fee minus a Virtual Registration Fee and processing fees.

Effective February 2023, In order to pick up your badge and gain access to the M3AAWG meeting space, all registered M3AAWG attendees must show proof of identification to pick up their M3AAWG badge; A government issued identification card, with photo and same name registration name must be presented at the registration desk. If you are unable to provide identification you will not be granted access to the M3AAWG meeting.

Please check all applicable travel documents and IDs to ensure they are up to date for both domestic and international travel. This includes confirming IDs/drivers licenses are not expired when being used for airline travel.

M3AAWG Meeting Attendees

Please confirm your meeting attendance by acknowledging your understanding of our updated Privacy Notice, as well as providing your explicit acknowledgement that we will use your Personal Data and send you communications to facilitate a valuable and secure meeting.

Meeting Agenda via Sched.com Shortly after registration, you will receive an invitation from SCHED.com. to access the M3AAWG meeting agenda. The invitation will be sent to the email address below. Please enter the address where you want to receive meeting notices.

You need to accept the invitation in order to create a personalized meeting agenda or use the mobile app. In order to login and access the agenda information, you will need the event password, which you will receive in the email confirmation.

You will also automatically be added to the M3AAWG66 meeting mailing list which is used very sparingly for meeting-wide updates during the course of the meeting.

Some corporate email filters silently discard or otherwise block mail that is sent from SCHED.com. If you had to provide a different email address because of this problem in the past, please be sure to update the Attendee Email address above to avoid the delivery problem. Please DO NOT use an email address with multi-byte characters.

If you do not receive an email from SCHED.com with the subject: "You're Invited to M3AAWG66" within an hour after you complete the registration process, please contact m3aawg-conf-chairs@mailman.m3aawg.org and provide both the email you used in registration as well as an alternate address that we can use instead.

New Attendees Breakfast Tables

We invite all new attendees to a new attendees breakfast 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday or Wednesday morning. Stop in and have breakfast with a few committee chairs & board members at one of the tables labeled with a New Attendees sign. This is a great networking opportunity and a safe place to ask questions.
 

New Attendees Lunch Tables

We will have tables reserved for New Attendees on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during lunch to meet up, gather for conversation or possibly meet with their guide.

M3AAWG Guides is a “peer-to-peer” program that welcomes new attendees to the M3AAWG meeting, the organization and the community. It does this by introducing you to a veteran M3AAWG member, Committee Chair or M3AAWG Expert Advisor who can help you get up to speed quickly by answering your questions and offering guidance.
At each M3AAWG meeting, this "peer-to-peer" program welcomes new attendees to M3AAWG meetings, the organization and the community. It does this by providing new attendees an opportunity to be paired with a veteran M3AAWG member, Committee Chair or M3AAWG Expert Advisor. This program aims to help new attendees remove the barriers of participation allowing them to get the most out of their meeting attendance by introducing the new attendee to the various aspects and nuances of M3AAWG, answer their questions and point them in the right direction when needed.

Whether you’re here to listen, contribute, or connect, this session will help you hit the ground running and feel at home in the M3AAWG community.

From what the color-coded name badges mean, to understanding the roles of our Committee and SIG Chairs and Expert Advisors, to learning about the Initiatives that drive our projects forward—this session will demystify the structure and work of M3AAWG. You’ll get a clear picture of how members are fighting online abuse, what M3AAWG as an organization represents, and most importantly, what you will soon be contributing to as part of this global community.
