General Sessions
Moderators: Thomas Fontvielle, General Secretary at Signal Spam
Speakers: Benjamin Billon, Deliverability Manager at Splio, Alex Panchevre, IT Manager at Signal Spam, Carmen Piciourus, Postmaster at Laposte
The goal of this panel will be to examine how new tools, behaviors, and frames of mind have contributed to modify (hopefully in a good way) the French e-mail marketing and anti-abuse community. We will showcase metrics and use cases from Laposte (possibly others) for the ISP, and also from the ESP's point of view with Splio.
Anti-spam is no longer a commodity for the messageries in France and is now a requirement that will make all the difference from a trusty and appreciated e-mail service from another. This may not be a new deal for one or two historic messageries, but it is for the rest of them, and everyone now agrees on this. A common tool is now available for all anti-abuse players, whether they come from the ISP side or the ESP side. It results in a better understanding of each other’s and in improved communication. Laposte will showcase the drop in spam reports since it has been using this tool. Orange and Laposte are now offering actual feedback loops (on top of the aggregated data on IP level they used to provide). The panel will also discuss the pandemic crisis as it has enlightened issues we still need to address on the anti-abuse front.
